Job Description

DSP Wireless systems Engineer sought for our Tier1 client. Skills include:- DSP algorithms, Physical layer design (3G, UMTS, CDMA2000, WiMAX, LTE), PHY, L1, Layer1, Modulation, equalization, beamforming, Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL Senior Wireless Systems & DSP Algorithms Engineer sought by my Tier1 client due to internal promotions. The successful candidate will join an established team at Senior Staff engineering level and will work on my clients wireless strategy, designing and developing the algorithms from a mathematical description, floating to fixed point optimization of the algorithms, through to mapping these on their propriety hardware. Duties will include significant innovation, both in algorithm design and implementation which is expected to result in both patent submissions and publications. The successful candidate would also have a broader responsibility to the company, in terms of driving forwards future projects as well as product requirements for devices, tools and IP. Required skills include: * DSP Physical layer design (ideally 3G, UMTS, CDMA2000 and/or WiMAX) * Modulation, equalization, beamforming * DSP Algorithm modelling for wireless systems in Matlab/Simulink or C/C++ Familiarity with some of the following would be a plus: * Understanding of CPRI, JESD * Java, Perl, TCL etc * Embedded software on ARM, Power PC, etc * Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog or VHDL Please email or call Senior DSP Consultant Alex Fothergill at IC Software to apply.
