Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to work in their specialist units which provide care for individuals with complex care needs. All service users are aged over 18. Some are making the transition from children\'s to adult services and all require help with their physical, psychological and emotional well-being. Some need help with communication, learning or behaviour and may require help with relationships and activities. Others behave in ways that present problems in the community and need particular support with personal care and daily living.The role of the Senior Staff Nurse will be to assist the Service Manager in managing the unit, deputising in their absence and ensuring compliance with the Health & Social Care Act 2008, plus associated legislation. You will also take the lead in supporting and training staff.The organisation places considerable emphasis on training and development for its staff. As such all employees are expected to participate fully in training offered and we are looking for candidates who wish to continuously learn and develop. Those who do not already have Mentorship in Professional Practice will be supported to attain this particular qualification.Applicants for this post must be qualified nurses with experience of working with people with learning and/or neurological disabilities, and ideally have knowledge of seizure management.
